VICTORY PROJECT

Girls Division

Victory Project is Opening Our First Girls Campus

Victory Project (VP) is excited to announce the opening of our first girls campus in 2026! VP Girls Division will mentor disengaged young women, ages 12-14, and emphasize the importance of becoming “Leading Ladies.” VP Girls Division is founded with the same mission, vision, and core values as VP Boys Division – and we are excited to welcome our first cohort of young women to discover the life God intended by mastering self-awareness, self-sufficiency, and selfless service.

Eliminating the Pillars of Poverty

The Victory Project fights to undo the Pillars of Poverty by practicing authenticity, consistency, and proximity.
We define the pillars of poverty as follows:

Drop out of high school

Get a criminal history

Have a child prior to marriage

Victory Project’s Engagement Formula

Our girls campus will be open six days a week year-round and focus on producing engaged, responsible, and hard-working young women through our 3E’s curriculum. Dive deeper and understand our teachings a bit better with our engagement formula chart.

An uncommon alliance has formed between the business, criminal justice, and faith communities to allow our students to break the cycle of hopelessness, insignificance, and isolation by addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

3E’S Curriculum

We eliminate the pillars of poverty with the 3E’s curriculum. We believe the following areas are paramount to producing engaged, responsible, and independent young American citizens.

Education

Education

We will provide weekly individual homework assistance and tutoring, which has already shown proven success. Students at our boys campuses are three times less likely to be absent from school, and achieve double the proficiency rate in math and reading compared to their non-VP peers. We will attend parent/teacher conferences, advocating between youth, parents, and school. Ultimately, our goal will be for each student to graduate high school and pursue higher education in college, trades, or military service.

Entrepreneurship

VP Girls Division will offer a unique opportunity for our students to gain invaluable real-world business experiences through our micro-enterprise initiative called Victory Improvement Projects. In collaboration with dedicated business mentors, our students will take charge of their own ventures, learning essential skills in entrepreneurship, financial responsibility, and the value of hard work. By actively participating in these ventures, our students will also create a personal employment history, opening doors to opportunities that are often limited or absent in under-resourced communities.

enlightenment

Enlightenment

We draw inspiration from Matthew 5:14 as we wholeheartedly strive to create a safe and nurturing family environment for our students. We believe in the power of shared experiences and genuine connections. Our approach is rooted in the belief that we must earn the trust and respect of each student, which can only be achieved through a delicate balance of love and accountability. By weaving these essential elements together, we foster an environment where every student feels seen, heard, and supported on their journey of personal growth.

Angie Jackson
Angie Jackson, Senior Program Director

Job Responsibilities: As a Senior Program Director of the Girl’s Campus, my primary focus is on mentoring the young women involved in the program. This mentoring includes teaching in classroom settings, facilitating tutoring opportunities, organizing activities, and sharing the word of God. I also take great pride in greeting all visitors, students, family members, and the public, representing VP to the community in a way that educates and advocates for our mission. Additionally, I answer phones, direct incoming calls to ensure timely responses, and support the CEO with projects and public relations events. I also schedule and implement Friday programming for our students, while maintaining a clean, safe and consistent environment.

Where you were born: Dayton Ohio.

Family status (spouse & kids):  Married to Antonio (Tony) Jackson, 3 kids, Paradise, Nirvana, Antonio Jr.

Relevant achievement or accomplishment (professional or personal): I take a lot of pride in my family and am super proud to be a mom of two young ladies that have completed HS at the age of 16. I am also happy to have raised children who enjoy giving back to their community by volunteering for events locally.

Hobbies: In my downtime I enjoy taking care of my plants, watching Netflix and Hulu, going to Second St Market with my husband on weekends, and collecting Barbies with my Mother in law. I also have recently discovered I like to paint, and am not that bad at it either.

Favorite memory or event at VP (so far): Prior to working for VP, I was happy to be the individual to connect two organizations to VP for donations and sponsorships. During my time at VP, I only have a few memories to reflect on. However, I can say the Dayton Mayor Tour of Residence Park that took place on June 10th at the HS campus was very memorable. I watched the members sit respectfully and listen to the speakers and the community members then following up with their own questions, many of which were very involved and thoughtful. One of our Victory Project members had many questions and once answered had follow up questions, this shows attentiveness and actual care for the community in which he lives and/or works. This shows that VP is doing the work that needs to be done, and is making the difference. I know not many kids at this age would have that kind of interaction in a community meeting in our city.

How to Get Involved

There are many ways you can get involved with Victory Project Girls Division. You can bring a meal for the students after one of their evening classes, become a tutor, help us maintain our building and equipment, or sign up to be a volunteer chaperone. You can also share VP Girls Division with a family member, co-worker, or neighbor and invite them to an open house or one of our events. Victory Project continues to thrive because of the generosity of individuals, families, churches, businesses, and foundations. We are NOT a government funded nonprofit.
