DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A faith-based organization focused on breaking the cycle of poverty in young men in Dayton is adding a campus for girls.
Victory Project’s girls campus will be the organization’s third in Montgomery County, but the first to serve girls.
Jessica Watkins, girls campus operations director at Victory Project, said the new location will be a safe space for girls from 12 to 14 years old, while utilizing factors from the boys campuses.
“So, we’ll have the same mission, same vision, same philosophy, same core values,” said Watson. “We’re going to use 3E curriculum – education, entrepreneurship and enlightenment – but it’s going to be just for girls.”
Since 2009, Victory Project has experienced “strong results” for efforts towards young men.
